After only 18 short months since the ready-made Eric units have been offered for sale, even I must confess that sales have been higher than first expected and this is only the tip of the iceberg by the looks of things.

Eric filter systems have already made their way to Koi enthusiasts the USA; Canada; Australia; Malaysia; Philippines; Thailand; Spain; France; Norway; Denmark; Sweden and of course, many parts of the UK and I have yet to have a single adverse report from any actual users.

However it’s still the comments made by those who have never experienced an Eric unit that do annoy me. Many still insist to others that Eric units are merely ‘old-style multi-chamber’ filter units when that’s the last thing they could possibly be.

Once again, Eric units are true single chamber boxes that adopt the totally unique horizontal water flow exactly like that of a river. No other pond filter system in the world can be compared to the way the endless moving block of water passes through all my models.

As can be expected, there have been some small but annoying issues that have now been resolved. The ‘O’ ring rubbers on some standpipes actually perished so single piece ‘O’ rings in a far better material have been sourced to put an end to that problem and the original lids were ‘flimsy’ but now have been replaced with much more rigid ones.

There have been a few improvements to the original units that could only be made after the units had been seen actually working on ponds but that’s all they are; minor improvements – such as reducing the length of the pipelines from air pump to the diffusers and securing the top frame to the boxes with watertight bolts.

I have never once had any doubts in my own mind as to how incredibly efficient Eric Pond Filters are and also how user-friendly they have proven to be to those people who now know the truth of it all.

To allay a few doubts and fears from some areas, please relax, all my units will continue to be hand-made to order and that’s a promise.

So to all the founder members of ‘The Eric Owner’s Club’ who had ‘the faith’ at the outset to put them to the test – may I take this opportunity of thanking you all most sincerely!
