Update 22/06/12
The surface skimmer boxes have now been installed and these shots should give a better impression as to how they will look when finished.
The metal box has been fastened tight to the concrete with copious amounts of Gold Seal.
Here’s a test shot of how the skimmer itself fits perfectly inside, now it needs removing and cutting down to size. It will look totally different when finally installed.
This is the rear of the box showing the exit pipe, which will supply water to the pump and then one of the U/V units.
As mentioned before, the rendering work was excellent but Richard our glass man can be ‘picky’ at times.
These shots show small areas on the wall that need attention to get the surface perfect and ready for laminating.
Richard started the glasswork lamination on Wednesday 20th. June.
Weather has been dreadful with rain bucketing down but thankfully the pond itself is well protected.
We’re expecting the glasswork to be completed later today.
Also there’s a large garage available for Ian to get out of the rain and start work installing the skimmer pumps, the U/V units and the heaters in the equipment housing.
So that’s where my hammer went!
I think I’ll go and check this equipment housing this afternoon, I’m not fully convinced that Ian even has a clue how to install these things correctly………….suppose I’ll have to teach him a few more things…….as usual!
Good job I did – he was about to fit the skimmer pumps without strainer baskets!
Told Ian to get the kettle on and by the time he was back with the brew I’d finished it.
Nice isn’t it?
More soon.
Waddy.
